Royal Palm - The World’s Beautiful Palm

Royal Palm also known as Roystonea Regia  was named after a U.S Army engineer Roy Stone. This plant originated from Florida, the Caribbean and in the coasts of Central and South America. Royal palm is indeed a royalty because of its crown of long leaves, each about  3 m long. It has a huge long trunk with sculpted bulges which give an attractive effect to the whole 20-meter tall plant trunk.

Despite of the very regal effect of the Royal Palms, they are easy to grow. They love water and can grow very fast unlike other palms. A Royal Palm can thrive on salt water because of its tolerance to salt drift. Amazingly, it has the ability to renew its foliage after an event. Royal palms are widely grown en masse which creates a beautiful view as a decoration or as an outdoor palm.
