Pink Quill – The Classic Bromeliad

Tillansia CyaneaPink Quill or Air Plant is one of the many lovely Tillandsia species. The Pink Quill or Tillansia Cyanea is one of the very few Tillandsias that can be grown as a potted plant. However, nowadays, Pink Quill plants may also be grown mounted.

From the bracts, to the flowers, to the grass, the Pink Quill plant never runs out of something colorful and beautiful to show off. The plant has a spike of overlapping bracts that are of hot pink or rosy in color. From afar, the bracts appear like flattened plume. From these bracts, violet blue or purple flowers emerge. The bracts coupled with the flowers sit on top of grass-like foliage. Pink Quill leaves are wispy, thin, and recurved forming into a rosette.
