Spathoglottis Siam Fancy

Orchids are loved by many because they never fail to excite and surprise everyone with their unexpected colorful blooms.  But if there is one orchid that is loved by all because of its all-year-round blooming, that’s Spathoglottis ‘Siam Fancy’ or Spathoglottis plicata ‘Siam Fancy’ or simply Siam Fancy.  Spathoglottis ‘Siam Fancy’ is an easy-to-grow terrestrial herb that is known for its purple flowers with yellow tips.  Its arching leaves are broad and with prominent parallel veins.  The clusters of flowers are usually seen at the end of a long stalk whereas the leaves naturally emerge from round pseudo bulbs.

Spathoglottis Siam Fancy is a popular ground orchid used as a ground cover.  But it can also be grown as a potted plant.  It is highly suitable for use in beds and in borders.  Place it in a place with partial sun and you will enjoy the royal touch that its flowers can add to your garden.
