Schefflera arboricola ‘Dazzle’ Pyramid

Schefflera arboricola ‘Dazzle’ is a new Schefflera arboricola cultivar charactized by its heavily variegated and decoratively blotched leaf coloration and large oblanceolate leaflets. Just like its parent plants, Dazzle has smooth-edged thick leaves. The upper surface of each leaf shows heavy variegation of irregularly patterned yellow-green coloration mixed with gray. The underside of each leaf shows blotches of green and yellow-green coloration. But unlike its parents, its leaflets have acuminate tips. Also known as Hawaiian Schefflera and Umbrella Tree, this evergreen shrub has leaves that densely covers the plant stems and produces an aromatic smell when crushed or pruned. The plant produces elongated clusters of flowers which mature into maroon-orange to black berries.

Normally, Dazzle is an upright bushy plant. This makes Dazzle a popular landscape shrub outdoors and indoors. But it can also be made to grow in branching form by removing terminal apices. Shown here is the Schefflera arboricola Dazzle pyramid that is perfect outdoors and as a houseplant. The Schefflera arboricola Dazzle pyramid was developed by many interiorscapers for the interior market and for landscaping purposes.
