Schefflera amate or Umbrella Tree

Most plants are easy to grow because they require less attention, but Schefflera Amate an easy crop to grow because it carries superior indoor qualities and some hybrids were even made to possess resistance to insects and diseases.  Schefflera amate commonly known as Amate or Umbrella Tree is a lush upright plant that can grow up to 15 feet tall or more and can become up to 6 feet in width.  Its leaves are large, thick, and glossy.  Unfortunately, this plant, which is perfect in almost all interior settings, do not produce flowers.

Amate is a favorite among interior landscapers because of its durability and resistance to insects, pests, and diseases.  Because of this unique characteristics, the Umbrella Tree has become a is a reliable and traditional part of many product lines of almost all foliage growers.  Its use range from Interiorscape designs, to Garden Centers or Mass Marketers, to even High interior settings.
