Philodendron Xanadu - An Extraordinary Gift from Tropics

Philodendrons are known for their viny appearance and for their aerial roots. But there is one Philodendron that is very different than the other Philodendron plants – the Philodendron Xanadu. Once can easily distinguish this exotic plant from the others, because of its uniquely-shaped leaves. It has deeply dissected grey-green leaves. The dissection results into 15 to 20 lobes for each leaf. Although its flowers are not that showy, once in a while, Philodendron Xanadu produces green or cream or tan flowers.

Philodendron Xanadu grows into a medium-sized shrub. This makes it a popular addition to large rooms, hallways, bathrooms, or to any part of one’s home. Its dramatic effect will make you feel as if a part in your home is made for any safari adventure. When used in landscapes, Philodendron Xanadu creates its very own tropical statement. Its clumping growth habit as a shrub makes it a handsome foundation or specimen plant. The leaves of this plant are usually drooping and close to the ground. This characteristic makes Philodendron Xanadu an ideal ground cover. It can also be grown in pots or in containers which you can then put at pool sides.
