Neoregelia ‘Lila’ – New Vivid Color Compact Bromeliad
Quietly, a ‘New” Bromeliad has been gaining in numbers and soon can be found on the market. One of the premier developers of house plant Oglesby Plants International released the bromeliad – Neoregelia ‘Lila’ PAT #11523 – with leaves which age into a glowing lilac color… it’s almost iridescent.
Many Neoregelia bromeliad hybrids can grow large and a little oversized at times for the living room coffee table. ‘Lila’ on the other hand features compact growth with short yet broad leaves.
The leaves develop their vivid color before the plant naturally blooms. ‘Lila” looks like it will be right at home in a 4 1/2″ to 6″ pot… leaving plenty of room for ‘Lila’ and your coffee in the living room!

I have been given two Neoregelia Raphael plants. Please give me some information about the care, feeding and watering of these plants. Should I re-pot them, they look too big for the pots they are in. Thank you for a quick answer.
