Ficus is commonly known as the weeping fig or the rubber plants. The Ficus is considered the “tree” for indoor use.

Related to the fig family, Ficus benjamina and its cultivars are widely grown for interior use. Outdoors in the south its aggressive root system can break up or uproot concrete.
