Galactites
GALACTITES (ga-lak’-ti-teez). A genus of annual or biennial thistle-like herbs from the Mediterranean region, be- longing to the Daisy Family. Galactites tomentosa, the best known, has spiny-pointed lobed or divided leaves, spotted white above, covered with cottony-down beneath, and heads of purple flowers. It is sometimes grown for ornament.
