Ficus Tree Arch

Ficus plants are durable plants known for their shiny and leathery leaves. Different Ficus varieties vary in height as well as leaf size and shape making them very appealing to many landscapers, garderners, and interiorscapers. Ficus plants make superb house plants because they are not too fussy as foliage plants. When grown outdoors, Ficus plants can grow into a Ficus tree.

Most Ficus plants grow upright as woody, single-stemmed plants. Other versions are multi-pruned and from which, new looks such as the braided or twisted form orginates. Naturally, Ficus plants have stems or slender branches that arch gracefully from the main trunk. When gracefully arching stems from two Ficus plants are plaited or twisted, they can form a mop-head or a very interesting cave-like arch. The tips of the branches that protrude from the outside of the formed arch can then be pruned into your desired shape. Most landscapes make use of the pliant feature of the Ficus stems for this purpose.
