Ficus Benjamina - They Call It The Indoor Tree!
The Ficus Benjamina is the houseplant most people think of when you say “indoor tree.” Over the years it has received somewhat of a bad wrap from the leaf drop which can occur when new plants come home.

Some of the new varieties and cultivars on the market now help reduce the problem of leaf loss and prove to be more durable under lower light conditions and even watering conditions. Ficus trees love as much light as they can get. If you tried a Ficus in your home in the past with little success check out some of the new ficus varieties at the local garden center. Look for Ficus Benjamina Monique, Ficus Midnight or Ficus Wintergreen.
