Dracaena deremensis Warneckii Cane Stump
Dracaena deremensis Warneckii or simply Warneckii is one cultivar of dracaena that prefers low light levels. Also known as the Striped Dracaena, Warneckii has narrow white stripes or bands that run down each side of its dark green leaf. The Jumbo variety shows a more compact growth while the Lemon Lime variety is characterized by the green stripes on its foliage.
Warneckii is a slow growing plant that is usually grown as a bush. But because it is a small plant that grows slowly, it is also grown in cane form. Dracaena Warneckii cane exhibits an erect growth through its short stem capped with roundlike leaves that form like a crown at its top. When a portion of the Warneckii cane is cut off, the remaining part can still be used to regenerate a new plant. According to many Dracaena care guides Any fertile portion of the Warneckii left on the ground after some part of it has fallen is called the Warneckii cane stump. Most gardeners even novice growers make use of this stump to grow Warneckii in mass.
