Cleaning House Plants Make Them Happy and Work Better

clean indoor house plants regularly for a healthier plant

After a period of time your indoor house plants (live ones and even silk houseplants) will accumulate dust and dirt. The leaf pores are like our skin. These pores can become clogged and make it difficult for the plant to breathe, make food and function.

This also makes it harder for the plant to move nutrients and allow the plant to get the most benefit of the available light. Think of your houseplant living it’s life with dirty sunglasses on!

Besides dust and dirt - insects, mites, scale and other pest can be monitored with cleaning.

Remember indoor plants already must go through an acclimating process when moving inside. Cleaning your leaves on a regular basis will not only help the plant look better, but also help remove pest.

Don’t wait for winter for cleaning your indoor plants start cleaning them on a regular basis.
