Calendula – From the Wills Garden Series

From the back of the Wills advertising card…
“Known in the north as the Scotch Marigold the Calendulas both single and double are very popular for bedding and borders. Colours range from an intense orange and pale yellow, and striped and shaded varieties are also grown. They are hardy annuals growing to a height of about 12 in, and some of the latest varieties are almost globular in form. Seed should be sown in March or April 1/3 in. deep where the plants are required to flower.”
