We received a Bromeliad in 2002 in full bloom, in memory of our daughter's death. Our oldest daughter, took the plant to care for it, however it never bloomed for her and ended up getting 2 more plants off of the original. In the spring of 2009, she gave it to us, thinking maybe the Missour climate (rather than Iowa) would help it along, to bloom. I repotted it into a bigger container, as one big clump, so that I did not disrupt the root system. Much to our amazement, June of this year (2010) all three plants at the same time, started a bloom. They are just beautiful, and also a little plant has started in the same pot.

My question of concern, is== Are all of the plants in the pot conected by 1 root system, or are they individual and can be devided. We think they must be one, as they all 3 got a bloom at the same time?

Would really appreciate a reply.
