Bromeliad Gardens Offer Indoor Color

Bromeliad gardenEveryone likes to bring the color from outside - indoors.

We see it at Christmas time with potted poinsettias or something as simple as some cut flowers arranged in a simple vase. Cut flowers usually last for a week to 10 days. Potted orchids a little longer maybe a month or two. How can you add some color that will last for months and months? It may be a little work but what an impact. Create your own Bromeliad garden.

Over watering plants

Hurricane Katrina did a tune up for what she planned on unleashing in the Gulf states by dropping a lot of water in South Florida.

South Florida happens to be the place where much of the larger indoor plants you find at the big boxes like Lowe’s, Home Depot, Walmart and such.

Some nurseries were welcomed to over 2 feet of water with their plants floating around. When these over-watering conditions happen it helps to know what can happen to you plants and their root system - indoors and out.
