Silk flower arrangements are not any different than arranging living or cut-flowers, your personal taste and expression is what matters. Don’t worry about and rules or restrictions - None apply. However, one exception may apply to any type of houseplant - silk or live and that’s the space available. Artificial plants do offer one nice plus - their care is low, it’s all design and looks.
