Bamboo – From Gardening to Interior Design

BambooLong time ago, the bamboo was just used in gardens and landscaping to add a touch of privacy. Nowadays, the bamboo has come a long way. From the garden, the bamboo is now becoming popular in the home design world, particularly in interior design. Artists and designers have already tapped the potential of the bamboo as a decorative material. From bamboo furniture to flooring, our beloved bamboo never fails to impress us with its potentials.

But before we go to bamboo as a decorative material, let us first check what bamboo is all about as an interior plant. Generally, bamboos bamboo plants are not that easy to grow. They need regular checkup on their surrounding’s humidity level. They require specific amount of water at a specific time or season; that is bamboo will take more water during the summer and less water during winter months which is their “resting” period.

If you are having problems with an unhealthy bamboo plant in one of the places in your house, consider transplanting it into a larger container with fresh soil. Then move it outdoors and place it in a partially shaded area. Soon your bamboo plant will be healthy again and will look stunning inside your home.
