Aechmea blanchetiana is a popular and easy-to-care landscape bromeliad.  Its spectacular floral display is long lasting and can be used for indoor cut flowers.  Aechmea blanchetiana grows best in a well-drained soil, thus it makes an ideal ground over or a container plant.  When mixed with green foliage plants, its foliage and floral colors would make an excellent accent even in partially shaded landscape areas.
