Question: - What shrubs may I use to add fragrance to my garden? M. H., Oklahoma.

Answer: The flowering currant, lilac and fragrant honeysuckle and jasmine nudiflorum all add fragrance to a garden. Later the mock orange, and fringe tree put forth special scents. The elaeagnus, or Russian olive, has a delightful fragrance when in bloom, although it eventually becomes a small tree rather than a shrub.
