I live in NC (eastern) and it is very hot here on my concrete patio. Been heat indexes of 100's. I was wondering what type of potted plant is heat tolerate. I would love to use my tall palm plants I got at Lowes, however, I think it is too hot for them outside. Is there a similar type of tall plant I can use? I don't want something I have to plant and spend mega money on, just something tall, potted that can give a bit of privacy. Thanks so much!

i have several mandavella's, and raise them every year .iwinterize them each year in a heated garage. my biggest problem with them are, each year some , not all have the powdery substance on them and it seems to really hurt their growth. so far the only way i've found to deal with it is by washing them off each day with water. if anyone know a insecticide that will take care of it , please let me know . mandavella's are beautiful plants and are my favorite
