Boost Your Spirit with a Hoya Bella

Hoya BellaHoya plants are popular not only because they are one of the easiest plants to grow. Their varieties in terms of leaves, flowers, and textures also spark interest among growers. Unlike other plants that lose their beauty as time passes by, the Hoya plants on the other hand were loved by many because of their magnificent beauty that becomes more pronounced as the plant gets older.

The photo at the left is the Hoya bella or the Hoya lanceolata ssp. bella. A closer look at its leaves will show you their small size and lanceolate shape as well as their lowered center vain. What separate this Hoya variety from the other Hoyas are its soft white flowers with each flower having firm pink or purple corona. The flowers have perfume-like fragrance but they have no nectar. They are usually seen growing at the tips of the veins. Clusters of these flowers can be seen throughout the whole plant during its blooming period. Hoya Bella looks gorgeous on the window-sill or a table as well as in hanging pots.

TIP: Do not touch or move the Hoya plant during its blooming period.
