Spider plants are clump-forming. They have long narrow leaves that arise from a central rosette or point. These strap-shaped leaves are solid green with lengthwise stripes of white or yellow. A closer look at each leaf will let you see that they appear to be folded down the middle. A mature Spider Plant usually show hanging plantlets on its long stems. At the end of the stems are small white, star-shaped flowers. Once blooming is done, more leaves replace these flowers which eventually form into small plantlets.
